#32: Extreme skating


The world championships in downhill ice cross were held today in Helsinki/Espoo.

I had a nice place behind press photo corner, and managed to get several nice pics between the backs of the professional photographers.

    Great shot Esko! There's a really professional feel to it! Objects well balanced in frame, no motion blur jet the image gives a sense of furious competition and ambitious energy to get there first, even the event is documented by the sign.

    Thanks! I was happy to find that place, and doubly so as there were so few official photographers that I had as good place for shooting as possible outside the media fencing. 85mm f/1.8 was the only possibility. If I had been nearer to skaters, something like 35mm would've been great (DX sensor).

In the Blogger dashboard all is good, pictures visible. When I visit the blog, all of the photos are missing. I've tried changing template, but no effect. Let's attach one photo here to see whether it affects new posts also, or is it just something with the former image files.
